It doesn't matter if you're in a different city, state, province, or even a different country - we want to help you on your retail journey, no matter where you are.

As you may know, we are a boutique interior design agency that specializes in creating beautiful retail spaces for women-owned brick and mortar businesses. Our unique touch ensures that your retail space stands out from the crowd and is social media-worthy, creating a modern, clean, warm, and chic shopping experience that you and your customers will love.

We believe that small businesses deserve access to quality design services, regardless of their location or size. That's why we are dedicated to providing as much design help as we can to women-owned stores, even if they are beyond our borders. We don't want anyone to feel left out or excluded.

So, how does NOLA Designs work with out-of-province clients?  It's about going virtual! Thanks to the pandemic, we have developed a streamlined approach to collaborating with clients across provinces and outside of Canada.  

First, to ensure that we provide the best possible service to our clients, we start every project by getting to know them and their unique vision. We have developed a friendly and comprehensive design questionnaire that helps us gain a deep understanding of their specific design needs. We encourage our clients to share everything from their Pinterest boards (for the project) to branding and needs for each specific area of their store. This information is essential for us to create a design plan that reflects their brand aesthetic and meets their functional requirements.

In addition to the design questionnaire, we ask our clients to take photos and videos of their store and provide us with key measurements using our simple and user-friendly measurement guide. This documentation provides us with a clear and accurate understanding of the space and allows us to develop a retail design plan that is perfectly tailored to their business needs.

When it comes to project kick-offs and presentations, we prioritize virtual meetings with our clients, allowing for effective communication and a seamless exchange of ideas, regardless of location. Through video conferencing, screen sharing, and other virtual tools, we are able to maintain a strong connection with our clients and ensure that we are all on the same page throughout the retail design process. We have found this process has worked exceptionally well for our  Store Design Mini and A La Carte services (link to services page) as it offers our clients the flexibility to fit the design process into their busy schedule while keeping the project costs affordable, especially for those on a smaller budget.

We offer virtual design services for our larger offerings as well, such as Store Design Essentials and Full Store Design(link to services page). While we can work with clients remotely for full renovations, we do prefer to visit the store at least once to gain a thorough understanding of the renovation needs, the space, and other important factors that will impact the design or custom work.
